Meet our 2026 Board of Directors

President - Amber Young

Amber Young, I am in my second year of being in the role of club president of the club, and former Vice president. I have been on the board since 2021. I am an Addictions Counsellor, working in this field for 17 years. My passion with horses has greatly benefited my ability to work with people as my horses always test my patients and help me to commit to working through whatever situation I am in. This club has always provided me and my family a sense of belonging, the goals that are accomplished, the dreams that come true are amazing and I am happy and proud to be part of it, as a mom, as a member, as the jerky seller and as The president. The NPBHA Board cannot wait for the 2026 season. Welcome everyone.

Vice President - Tiffany Mitchell

I'm Tiffany Mitchell, married to my best friend for 14 years and have 2 beautiful children. I have been riding since 2020, I really dove head first into riding and learning about horses after loosing my brother in a tragic accident. I found being around and working with horses helped me be more grounded in my emotions. Horses have opened up a whole area of my life I didn't know I was missing, from horse shows, clinics to learn about myself and my horse, to the community of amazing people I never would have got to know without horses. My hopes for joining the board of NPBHA is to work alongside the individuals who already dedicate so much to the committee and to lighten the load where I can.

Treasurer - Lindsey MacNeill

I'm Lindsey, mom to 2 amazing girls —one horse crazy and one sports crazy— our days are spent between the barn and the bleachers. Animals are at the heart of our family, including our horse Dream, who my daughter competes on within this association. Watching them grow and achieve their goals with the support of this club has been incredible, and NPBHA truly feels like family to us. With nearly 30 years in the horse world, I’ve participated in clinics, lessons, trail riding, and western competitions. These days, I enjoy trail riding, barn life, and being my girls’ biggest cheerleader. As a board member, I strive to be a dependable asset, helping things run smoothly while strengthening the community that makes this association SO special. I’m looking forward to the 2026 season with everyone!

Secretary - Kirk Neville

Hello everyone, I’m Kirk Neville from Kelvin Grove, PE. I am a proud father of 4 girls, 2 of whom race with the NPBHA (Ella and Nora Campbell) I am very happy to contribute in any way as a member of this great board and to cheer all competitors.

Director at Large - Serena Maietta Pollock

I’m Serena, born and raised in the United States but have called PEI home for 17 years now. I have been married for almost 18 years; have two boys and live on a farm with 50 Draft and riding horses. On my free time you can find me at horse shows watching my boys ride or my husband compete with his draft team, reading a good book, or running. I believe working with horses provides such an amazing companionship and bond that brings much joy to everyone! Watching my children continue to increase their development and achievements in riding with this organization has been extremely rewarding. Although this is only my family’s second year with NPBHA, the club has been extremely supportive and welcoming, can’t wait for 2026 season to start!

Director at Large - Grace Johnston

I’ve been a proud member of the New Brunswick PEI Barrel Horse Association for the past 10 years and I am excited to serve as a Board Director. I’ve loved riding since I was young and I’m grateful to have a supportive family who has always encouraged my career with horses. I will be 22 this year and live in Salisbury, New Brunswick, I own six horses (five being mares!) and have explored a variety of disciplines including jumping, dressage, western pleasure, reining, and cow work, but barrel racing has always been my true passion. I’m continuing my education in the equine field, with studies in equine event management, environment, physiology, and massage therapy. When I’m not at the barn, I work full-time as an Activity Director in a long-term care home and have been doing so for about four years. NPBHA has always felt like one big family to me, and I look forward to supporting and watching our youth and new members grow just as I have within the club.

Director at Large - Selena Doucette

Hi my name is Selena Doucette. I am from Noel, Nova Scotia. I am a very proud mom of 8 (4 girls and 4 boys) and married to my husband for 24 years. All 4 of my girls have raced with this group for many years and love it so much. I work for a non for profit organization in the finance department and have been there for 6.5 years. My biggest hobby and passion is making beaded earrings, cowboy hats, halters etc. I am looking forward to meeting everyone this year and having a fun filled show season.
